W-Architectures
W-Architectures specializes in architecture and urban planning. Led by Raphaël Voinchet and Christian Lecouvey, the firm unites a team of internationally experienced architects.
The firm offers an architectural style which is precise, refined and under-stated, inspired by the context and uniqueness of each situation. The firm’s work is guided by the principle of distilling a thought, in order to lend each project a rigorous logic and allow its essential core to emerge.
The firm has developed expertise and skill in managing complex projects and benefits from its widely recognized experience in architecture, urban planning, restoration, museology and design. Over the years the firm has been able to stand out due to its striking and rigorous architecture.
In addition to participating in several international competitions, the firm has completed memorable projects such as the Ingres Museum in Montauban, apartment buildings in Foix and the International Centre of Prehistory in Eyzies-de-Tayac.
François Barré wrote about the firm that it “deals directly with subject matter (...) and its architecture justifies its renown.” The firm’s work is published regularly, and has often been praised by critics.
