House L
The garden, which is rich in species and colors, flows smoothly and grows naturally around the individual building elements, which are laid out generously forming a loose ensemble on the property harmonizing with the surrounding typology.
The house sits firmly grounded on the property with its base floor covered in natural stone. The upper floor with a gently sloping green roof floats above the solid-looking base floor and is plastered in white. Loggias and a pergola-like extension also ensure that the overall appearance remains airy and unobtrusive despite its volume. Together with the angular pool house opposite, which takes up the idea of a natural stone base and light roofing, an accentuated courtyard situation with a pool as the central element is created despite the openness.
In summer, the greenery, the pool, various lounge areas and an outdoor kitchen invite to live outdoors. In the cooler season the view of the pool can be enjoyed from the sauna in the pool house or the gaze can wander further into the interior of the house where the fireplace is burning. The fireplace forms the pivot point between an adjoining living room and a central cooking and dining area. A “supply cube” intelligently placed in the room naturally generates a zone of arrival and access. It houses important functions, hides a small second kitchen inside and offers plenty of storage space on all sides.
An open staircase leads to the upper floor, which is divided into parents' and children's areas. On the parents' side, in addition to a separate study, the interconnected bathroom, dressing room and bedroom open onto a spacious terrace. On the opposite side are the two children's rooms, which also have their own bathrooms and loggias.
The greater part of the basement is dedicated to entertainment and indoor activity. Here, in a daylight-lit multifunctional room, family, friends and guests can come together for home cinema, billiards, table tennis and bar evenings.
