K guest house is a gathering of houses for researchers and their families who have left their hometown from all over the world.

The site is located in the mountainside, long, sloping area surrounded by forests. Respecting the preserved nature, the whole building is planned in harmony with the surrounding environment. Two types of house are proposed, one is a garden unit and the other is a terrace unit. By stacking the terrace unit over the garden unit along the territory, each house can obtain its own view to nature.

All of the houses are facing to the community facility and community yard. By positioning these private space and public space facing each other, it induced the natural communication between the residents. Through various activities such as gathering, party and exercising derived from this mutual communication, those who have left their hometown, are able to naturally blend in with the community composed of 16 households.
