ROBOCOOP
ROBOCOOP (RomaBolognaCooperazione) is an Italian urban art duo active from 2012 and based in Rome.
Their collages are mash-ups created by combining old paintings/ frescos/engravings with photographs of modern and contemporary architecture. They usually take the form of billboard paper paste-ups illegally installed on the city walls, working in the urban context of the city.
From 2012, ROBOCOOP is dedicated to the street art, mixing the digital collage, photographs and drawings. In 2014 it participates in May.B Rome with an installation promoted by NUfactory; in 2015 it participates in Art-On Cascina Festival, in the BoCS Art artistic residence in Cosenza and in the Shit Art Fair in Turin.
In 2016 it participates in Open House Rome at Work[in]Co and in the exhibition “Volumi” at LUISS University in Rome. Again in 2016, it participates in Re-Drawing the Theory / Re-Drawing the House, curated by Parasite2.0 and selected by Davide Tommaso Ferrando e Davide Tudor Munteanu, and organizes its first personal exhibition “Innesti”, curated by radioarchitettura and promoted by Cultrise in the Popping Club Gallery in Rome.
In 2017, it exhibites a site specific installation in Di-ora-ma architecture studio, during Milano Design Week and it participates in “Premio Antonio Giordano”, a street art Festival in Molise.
Its work has been featured in several artistic and architectural newspapers and magazines including Dude Mag, KooZA/rch, Artwort, Baumeister, 3NTA, Organiconcrete.
