On the occasion of Àlvaro Siza, Sacro, a personal exhibition at MAXXI on his architectural approach, work and thought, enriched with his lectures during the visit of Rome in October 2016, it has been made a special work concerning two great Roman iconic and monumental architectures – the Templus of Antonino Pio and Pyramid of Cestius portrayed by Giambattista Piranesi - grafted by Alvaro Siza’s masterpieces, the Portuguese Pavilion in Lisboa and the Iberê Camargo Museum in Porto Alegre.
Both of these collages have been reproduced and pasted up along the streets of Rome, surrounding both monuments, in order to link conceptually the works to the context of the city.
