House Buecker-Hahn
A house of one piece without traditional room layout in which the entire outer skin of the central building together with roof areas and roof terrace are made of the same material and a sculptural entity form.
A house of one piece without traditional room layout in which the entire outer skin of the central building together with roof areas and roof terrace are made of the same material and a sculptural entity form.
The base of the house is a white cube. About that oscillates - partly free-floating, partly resting on the cube - the larger, central building uprises on the ground floor. The slope on the ground floor runs parallel to the sloping roof.
The free-floating part of the building forms with its oblique course at the same time the covered entrance area with car parking space.
In the adjacent narrow side of the white cube was also positioned the house entrance, giving a comfortable access to the house. Another detail is the wall, running out of the white cube, symbolically welcoming the inhabitants with their arms open.
The facade, the roof and the large roof terrace that opens onto the back garden are clad with wood effect panels made of cement-bonded wood fiber boards.
Thanks to this uniform outer skin, the central structure looks as if it were made of one piece.
At the same time, the exterior gives the house its sculptural character.
There are not even any downpipes that could disturb the perfect unit, because they were simply integrated into the technology of the curtain wall as internal drainage.
The exterior shape of the building reflects the internal functions. For example, behind the sloping entrance canopy there are the stairs to the first floor.
Inside, the traditional room layout is reversed. In the ground floor you find the office, bedroom with dressing room, bathroom and guest room. In the first floor, under the ridge, there is a spacious, open-plan living-kitchen area with access to the roof terrace and guest bathroom. The baths are furnished with a noble lime-marble plaster, for a look that radiates a pleasant serenity with an almost sacral appearance.
The house is with all forms, materials and colors perfectly matched.
