a black house in the mountain in between more or less typical tyrolen houses
the question was to design a family home on a plot, 3m above street level;
on this plot was an existing garage which should be kept; there should also be as much as possible garden kept between the new house and the house to the west;
the result was an narrow house, 4 levels high, built as close as possible to the east border of the plot;
on the ground level, next to the existing garage, the entrance court, with the main entrance, and the guest room;
on the main level (=garden level) the open space for the family, open to the garden; the first floor is the "kid's only" area, with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and an open play area; the roof level is only for the parents, with masterbedroom, bathroom and a terrace with the jacuzzi;
due to the 4 levels there was the idea of bringing in a space for an elevator (later);
the empty tower, about 1,5*2m wide, is used as a kid's play.tower, and is working like a spinal column in the floor plans;
light is falling throuht this tower in each floor from the roof;
the entrance level ist build out of concrete, and is working like a base for the rest of the house, build in massiv wood panels (wall and ceilings); the wooden facade is leading to the entrance court, painted with the woodoile palisander;
