PONTE VECCHIO
PONTE VECCHIO is a food store with more than ten years of experience in the field. Looking forward to create a new brand identity for this new filial, we projected a representative, potent and powerful space, that could capture potential customer´s attention walking around this area, located at the main Avenue of Las Rosas neighborhood in Villa Nueva, Córdoba, Argentina.
Considering the small size of the main room (33m²) and it’s own features (a small kitchenette not suitable for cooking), this branch aims to make the most of the space available by putting up a self-service minimarket of food, wines and exclusive products.
In terms of design, we planned to create an abstraction of an old warehouse. This concept enables the creation of a friendly and fresh space, with a clear environment that proves to customers the quality of the product. In regard to construction, wood was selected as the leading material to convey the feeling of a cozy space (warmth and closeness) by squeezing out its properties to the maximum, making use of different types of wood, textures and colors in a variety of views and functions. It is a game of perspectives that gives depth and helps to create a visually wider shop aspect.
The industrial style is present in the entire intervention: wood, iron, concrete, face bricks and subway tiles coexist and complement each other in total harmony
The shop area of the store is organized around a central table that hides a cold well that serves as a counter for fractionated foods. This disposition helps to organize the store traffic flow. Two lateral metallic cages arrange and sectorize the exposition and product’s stock. It is in this way that the same element defines not only the space but also supports items for sale.
Finally, the lighting design was created with a series of spotlights and fillar LEDS that highlight the intervention and contribute to the visualization of the product. Above the central table, three handmade customized iron lamps emphasize the importance of this element giving the sense of order and a spatial conception to the store.
