Hotel Kitz
Hotel Kitz is located in a brand-new building in Pfleghofstrasse, in the historic centre of Metzingen. Its location in the heart of Metzingen creates an interesting contrast between the historic setting, the modern architecture of the nearby outlet shopping centre and the requirements of a modern hotel building.
The building is characterised by a sensitive treatment of the existing elements of the surrounding properties, while simultaneously reinterpreting them in combination with new elements. A precisely formulated ground floor reflects this as well as the modern timber window frames with folding shutters and the restrained, geometric gabled roof without any roof projections.
The hotel offers 23 rooms with two of these designed to be barrier-free, as is the communal space. The top floor houses four suites that can each accommodate up to four people, and the hotel offers parking spaces in an adjoining underground garage.
The hotel is more than just somewhere to stay: it’s an urban refuge. The sleek guest rooms are complemented by the open-plan breakfast, lobby and reception areas, which form the heart of the building. In fact, the building could be considered as a large shared house, with the communal areas representing the living room. Special features, such as the room décor and the formulation of central communal spaces, enrich the well-defined room configuration.
