After several years of frustrations spent in detached houses without specific development the client decides to acquire a barn to make an adapted housing to his handicap. From this frustration is born the will to grab the question of his housing and to abolish any obstacle due to disability.
It was not a question of regulatory dimensions, but of an apprehension of the space in which the experience feedback of the user allowed us to validate the the housing system. In the end it is a plan without drawing, the space is structured by the kitchen and the bathroom (the surface takes the step on the plan).
Finally, the building detonates in its urban environment, even if it takes over the codes of local constructions, (solid plaster and steel sheet). The roof serves as the main façade with its surface thus unfolded to the gaze. The layout of the roof creates a shadow of gray blurring the reading of the fill and voids while sketching a geometry that turns over the ridge. The roof is a set of extra-territorial references at the pedestrian scale and at the scale of the new observation media (aerial photos) available on the Internet.
