St. Paul’s House
Formerly a home for publishing house Hodder and Staughton, St Paul’s House was built in 1962; an austere office building typical of the age. Ben Adams Architects comprehensive retrofit used a series of interventions to lift the heavy masonry of the original building. A tall and generous portal defines a bold new entrance onto Warwick Lane from which a lift lobby takes you up to T-shaped office floors. Each floor varies and three are extended with a brand new storey at level six, with views of St Pauls Cathedral, The Old Bailey and Tate Modern. Enlarged window openings, open plan offices, sustainable building services and eight floors of BCO Grade A office space define this as a classic, modern office.
