Mauble Jardin
Installation for the International Garden Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire.
The ‘meuble-jardin’ is large armoire in teak and stainless steel on 4 legs that are 90 cm long. When opened an placed horizontally the four sides are transformed into a cultivation table. The plants grow through the thick top, which is lined with coconut fiber that enables liquid to provide nutrients through a system of gutters. The tools and accessories are stored inside when it is closed. Depending on the season it’s posssible to configure other uses with greenhouses, trellses, awnings or on terraces. Vines and creepers, strawberries or primroses, even tropical and prairie plants can temporarily grow in this mobile and modular ‘meuble-jardin’.
