House in a pine forest
The land for the construction of a house in the suburbs is a place with a dominant sense of Nature. By designing in this context that we decided to bring out a clear form of the building, contrasting with the environment. From the thirties of the twentieth century there is a tradition of building simple geometric Buildings in the woods, located on the outskirts of Warsaw. Today these buldings have become one of the icons of Polish modernism. Their abstract, often white form, clearly distinguished from the organic forms of the forest. Establishing make this tradition was for us a natural continuation of the Good Design patterns.
The building was erected on the foundations, constructed according to another project, alluding to make traditional Polish manor. The new investor decided to build a house of a completely different nature. Across the street is the building erected in the historicist style, which a contemporary house creates a dialogue; Another answer to the Suburban VILLAS.
The house is a compact two-storey form with extra single-storey garage. HIS perpendicular arrangement relative to the front facade makes do that before entering the building formed the square, closed an additional fence as the architecture of the building. The entrance is emphasized vertical cavity with a height of four meters, which reveals the high hall with staircase.
In the eastern and western facades we stressed horizontal directions, which contrasts with the vertical surrounding pines. Large glass allows close contact with the forest landscape from the interior of the building. The wall of the forest becomes thus a decorative element premises.
