The project is a restoration of a 350 m long fallow land in the heart of the city of Aurich. The site is a diverse collection of history and stories such as a former wall, boat canal and formal park. The Georgswall lies now between function and sensorial experiments. Spilled docks are traced on the surface as a large pool and a 350 m long play path characterized today the former wall system. With the new lawns, small open spaces for events, peaceful atmosphere and seating areas for people of all age, water and children’s games – the Georgswall has now changed into a vibrant place for the citizens.
