More designers in Roma, Italy
Dario Passi (1939) lives and works in Rome where he was born. After graduating in architecture, numerous competitions mark some of the main stages of his design. His artistic career began in 1977 with the participation at the International Art Meetings organized by Achille Bonito Oliva together with artists emerging in those years. In 1980 the encounter/confrontation with Enzo Cucchi brings Dario in the first of a series of exhibitions entitled "Duetto" by Francesco Moschini. Following are some exhibitions at the A.A.M. and the exhibition at the International Art Meetings, featuring four large oil canvases that see the figures of his projects painted as a built landscape and declined in a single brown colour. These canvases are a kind of legacy of his architectural work that in the early 1990s he abandoned definitively. In 1994, the great "Winter" exhibition at the Museo Laboratorio of the University of Rome La Sapienza, showcased some twenty large paintings composed by on white, grey and black structures. This is the beginning of a pictorial research that will develop in later years.
Dario Passi is an architectural practice based in Roma, Italy.
