Machado Costa
Pedro Machado Costa [1972] holds the architecture degree from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto [1996], and the master degree in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon [2004]. His academic training yet passed by Bounkunde Technische Universiteit Delft [Holland] and the Ecole d'Architecture Paris-Conflans.
His work was the subject of several major international architecture exhibitions, including the Biennale of Architecture in Venice [Italy] and the Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism [Peru], having also exhibited at the Institut Valencia d'Art Modern [Spain], in Hartell Gallery [Ithaca, NY], in Boijmans van Beuningen Museum [Rotterdam] or the Architectural Association [London], among others.
His work has been recognized by numerous awards, including the nominations for the Mies van der Rohe and for the Secil Prize. FAD Award finalist in 2007, won the Premi d'Architecture dels Socis Arquinfad in the same year.
In 2017, Pedro Machado Costa won the AICA Architcture Award, by the International Association of Art Critics.
