PCA-STREAM Philippe Chiambaretta Architecte
The urban and architectural design firm PCA-Stream, founded in 2001 and directed by Philippe Chiambaretta, places the exploration of changes in our contemporary societies at the core of its design process. Moving beyond the usual dichotomy between thought and action, its unique take on the field is to combine theoretical
research, prospective thought, and large-scale projects.
Revue Stream brings together the research that PCA has been carrying out on a crossdisciplinary and international basis for the past ten years. Stream 01 focused on the imperative to innovate in a globalized world dominated by the knowledge economy;
Stream 02 looked at the changing realities of work and the workplace; and Stream 03 explores the new relationship between humankind, the city, and nature in the Anthropocene Era.
These various reflections have been incubated in the #cloud.paris project, which was, from the onset, conceived of as a laboratory of the workspaces of tomorrow. Among the core concepts applied were: flexible and domestic interior layouts, informal working spaces geared toward serendipity, an “à la carte” catering offer, and ample external spaces to transform workspaces into genuine living spaces. Capitalizing on ten years of research, #cloud.paris offers a new home for the companies that are inventing the world of tomorrow right in the center of Paris.
