Renovation of four radio fiction production studios at the Maison de la Radio

Studios 114 to 117, dedicated to recording Radio France's fiction programs, have been renovated according to a shared principle: each studio houses a unique architectural object, at once functional and expressive of the specific programming assigned to it.
Studio 114 echoes the rich and singular world of foley artists, displaying a multitude of objects — doors, windows, latches — used in the sound design of fiction productions. Integrated into the wall and covered in a uniform tint, these elements, though visibly present, form part of a continuous visual surface. Serving simultaneously as acoustic tools and fragments of set design, they compose an envelope conceived as a veritable cabinet of curiosities.
This renovation is part of a large-scale project launched in late 2021 at the heart of the Maison de la Radio, aiming to rehabilitate a total of 14 production studios designed by 6 architecture firms
