House M|O
The north-south facing plot is located on a traffic-calmed street within a residential estate with small-scale development. The site is characterized by its steeply sloping topography, the associated unobstructed view of the landscape and a meadow orchard to the south.
With its cubature, roof shape and height development, the new building is orientated towards the surrounding buildings and thus blends harmoniously into the small-scale housing estate. The key design element is a wall disc that begins outside and continues inside the building. It connects the inside and outside and creates a clear division between service rooms and the living and sleeping areas. Closed to the north, the façade opens up to the south with large areas of glazing and a terrace in front. The ventilated wooden slat facade surrounding the solid construction supports the integration of the residential building into the landscape.
