Greci Industria Alimentare Headquarters
The renovation project of the historical headquarters of Greci Industria Alimentare in Parma (Italy), a leading company for professional foodservice and gastronomy, aims to redistribute all the spaces open to customers on the ground floor: the tasting and show cooking room, the company shop and meeting rooms.
On the first floor are the executive and administrative offices, configured in three large open space areas. These were obtained through a major structural reinforcement of the original double-pitched roof, with particular attention to the restoration and extension of the skylights that flood the spaces with natural light.
The approach in the configuration of the spaces is essential, rigorous and monochromatic, but includes an exception to the rule with the staircase connecting the two floors. With its sculptural volume, it unfolds from the building entrance following a sinuous curve that enhances the double-height space.
Once approached, it reveals its inner side characterised by an intense tomato red colour, a symbolic reference to the main raw material processed by the company.
