From the sketch, the choice focused on the conservation of the characteristic elements of the dryers: high height, dark cladding, vertical openings, ... while adding contemporary works.
Previously, the wood was treated with used oil, which was replaced by pine resin in the project. The design of the cladding gives rhythm to the shed and creates a play of texture while respecting the characteristic monochrome of the building.
The alternation of solid and openwork parts creates a filter, a necessary serenity for horses while maintaining a diffuse light.
The lines of the joint covers were extended on the interior walls and in particular on the doors which were custom made by a ironworker to create clarity up to the inside of the boxes.
They also facilitate the follow-up of horses thanks to their transparency.
