The Allauch secondary school has a double objective: to host and to transmit universal knowledge as well as to respect the village atmosphere that characterized the site. Through its realization the building valorized local construction skills.
The operation claims a simplicity in all its organizational, volumetric and material arrangements. Five built entities interact together and bring spatial diversity without affecting the strong identity of the institution. The ground floors which present more varied and free spaces are made of stone and concrete. The top floors made of wood host the classrooms. The regular grid gives a coherence and a rhythm to the whole project.
