Main building : the swimming pool (victim in 2008) in synchronized pond of synchronized swimming
Extension : Construction of an aquatic center with a 50 m swimming pool and water polo, diving has a pit, weight room ,locker rooms with shared synchronized swimming pool ,offices and meeting room and two staff houses
The Aquatic Center gathers 4 disciplines: swimming, water polo, diving and synchronized swimming. The main building and its extension’s roof tapers in long lower eaves to gradually and discretely blend into the Bois de Vincennes. In continuation of the pools, landscaped slopes indicate the building’s belonging to the Bois.
The structure unfolds in a horizontal origami style, which pleatings and cuttings form a sawtooth roof determining the lighting of the Pool Hall. Servant spaces are shared in a refined and airy clapboarded volume, in connection with the Sports Hall. The Aquatic Center is a pilot operation for the HEQ certification of swimming-pools.
