The performance focuses on restoring the lobby of a residential building built in 1872 located in the middle of the cultural axis delimited by the Santa Caterina Market and the Born Market in Barcelona. The commission reflects on the richness of the blurred threshold that exists in the streets of Ciutat Vella between public space and private space. The idea of open gates is reconquered inviting any passerby to enter from the street. The roofs and walls of added hairpieces are stripped. The unevenness of the ground is eliminated by crushing some old sidewalks that serve to control the capillarities of the walls. The enclosure of a courtyard is undressed, recreating the idea of exterior passage of the environment. On the axis of the courtyard, a new elevator is located that solves the accessibility of the building. The mechanism dispenses with front pillars. It shows transparent on the ground floor. He dresses as a mirror on higher floors. It disappears in the sky during the day. Like letting the city enter the project.
