Behind the 15th century palace façade, hides a 1950s building. The intervention insists on two originally separated units. Their union raises the issue of a new layout. This is solved by designing the kitchen furniture, placed at the meeting point between the two initial apartments: at the centre of the long and narrow room, it defines the circulation and contains the services. Materials, colour palette and decorative elements are sourced from the 20th century tradition. One isolated exposed concrete pillar interferes with the wooden flooring pattern, dispersing any possible nostalgia.
