MANIFESTO OF PREFABRICATION
Exhibition and graphic design of the 'Manifesto of prebafrication' in Satellit Architektur Gallery in Berlin created for BBGK Architekci. The exhibition is devoted to the multi-family building Sprzeczna 4 in Warsaw's Praga district. The BBGK Architekci project was hailed as a "prefabrication manifesto" because it had the task to disenchant prefabrication - a technology discredited in Poland during the communist era by means of large panel estates.
Architectural drawings have been placed on the walls of the gallery, which allow a better understanding of the prefabrication in the Sprzeczna 4 building. We talk about all available prefabrication technologies, such as: colored facing concrete, corns and reliefs, electrical installations integrated with walls, heating ceilings and others. An object made up of bulky items has no finishing, fancy, ornaments. It is a sincere tale of what a building is, what it is made of and how it works. Each element is an integral part of the logical story.
In the central part of the gallery there is a steel element designed by Malwina Borowiec and being an artistic variation on the elevation of the Sprzeczna 4 building. Its color refers to the color of steel elements used in the Budizol factory in which prefabricated elements were made. On the windows of the gallery there is a graphic of Dawid Rylski - it is a response to the relief of the artist, located in the interior of the building and presenting the Vistula.
