A few years ago an attempt was made to build another bridge between Brooklyn and Manhattan due to traffic, no longer vehicular but existing pedestrian, so it was decided that the best solution was to make a bridge that included (like the new "high-line") not only the inclusion of bicycles and landscape spaces or of relaxation and recreation, but above all that allowed to be a place of relaxation. Our proposal wanted to go further and we proposed that this triangular structure (for being the most rigid way to cross the 800 meters length to 40 meters height) was to create mini-apartments that solved the housing problem in Manhattan and that in turn would provide life to the bridge itself and not make it a ghost place at night. In this way we conceive departments of 25, 35 and 50 meters and a club with the longest pool in the world at the bottom vertex of the triangle. The project was abandoned because of a cost issue but the port authority of New York is reconsidering it due to the enormous need for these factors: housing, recreation and mobility between districts.
