Architecture staging for "Rinascente", Flagship Store for the project " The Green Life"
Humans are part of Nature.
The Rinascente Flagship Store is in the middle of Rome. The building is characterized by three special spaces: an Exhibition Area with a Ancient Roman Aqueduct at the basement, a 28 meters high atrium and a panoramic Terrace on the roman roofs on top.
The idea was to use plants and trees to invade the spaces with something unattendended. A greenhouse in the middle of the city, between the shops.The intention is to analize how humans historically tried to tame the nature, with geometry, with measurments, with modulars systems. The modular division it's the way to give to the spaces a new dimension, a new way to be read and lived. This system it's expressed with the plants and inside the greenhouse. Exhibition Area:here the idea it's to create a new layer with ground and with blossom plants. Inside this green carpet, 40 tanks with lights and water are put regurarly with a pitch of 130 cm.Atrium: here the structure was used to hang 114 vases, increasing the sensation of regualrity of the structural grid. Terrace: here were built 28 vases with trees and flowers that generat small spaces to create intimity between peolple that want enjoy the view and the roman climat. The main idea, the "fil rouge" inside the all the staging parts were the big mirrors where people can see there self, with the green on the backside, but the write in the mirror says "YOU ARE NATURE" giving the responsability to humans to be part of Nature and dont'be out side it.
