Charlap Hyman & Herrero worked with a couple - a painter and a writer - to renovate their Chelsea loft. The various public and private functions of the space have been carefully considered, as it is both a 1,700 square foot studio and a home. A series of elegant rooms that pair industrial details with delicate touches complement the restrained classicism of the owners' Biedermeier furniture.
