CASA VERDE - Young women's care home for mental health problems

The project aims to recover and integrate an old site, already used as an orphanage, placed on a hilly area next to San Miniato Medieval city centre.
The "CASA VERDE" project is a search to found links:
_ with the "guests Girls" by sticking their graphic works on the glass facade;
_ with the woods through the study of the leafs’ color shades in different seasons;
_ with the city by recovering "vicoli carbonai" , ancient path ways useful and necessary for the maintenance of the hillside;
_ with the natural light
_ with the centuries-old cypress trees next to the building.
_ with art through the artist Mercurio who paints the guests’ faces creating a collection of contemporary artworks.
