Renovation of an appartment in Strasbourg
The architecture studio Atelier Matthieu Buisson redesigned the interior of an apartment in Strasbourg, inserting a number of custom-made living units into the open-plan apartment.
Located in the last floor of the 1960’s building, the 110-square-metre apartment was reorganized and refurbished by the atelier.
The architects removed all interior walls to create a largely open-plan space.
They covered the kitchen, bathroom and study with colored ceramics to divide up the space visually.
They then used wooden flooring for a softer look and feel in the rest of the home. The ceramic was also used for the kitchen work plan.
New wooden storage closets, designed by the atelier, have been added along the main room walls.
