Strasbourg Tourism office
The Strasbourg tourisme office has recently re-opened it new public center in Strasbourg on the prestigious Place de la Cathédrale.
The center which covers 150 sqm was designed by the architecture office Atelier Matthieu Buisson based in Strasbourg.
It is composed of an information point, a store and a space dedicated to office workers.
Architectural materials are at the heart of the design concept. The use of only two materials like terrazzo and wood panels to create an interior scenography.
The aesthetic is one of understatement, captured in clear lines and natural materials. Walls lined with black wood, a terrazzo floor displays form a sophisticated contrasting backdrop for custom-made wooden furnishings.
The minimalist, chic, intemporel interior with the use of sustainable materials were dictated by the location of the project : in the middle of the historical part of the city.
