The Taglia park project starts from the reading of the historical and urban grammar of the place. The stratified historical process of the park is reconfigured in a new landscape. Recognizing the project within a wider and more complex territo- rial system, it is possible to identify the new Cardito Park as the fundamental polarity of the northen metropolitan area of Naples. The park is part of a continuous urban system and at the same time by a fragmented agricoltural pattern that define its character and structure. The park is considered as an interface between these two landscapes: the surrounding nature and the urban context
The park is defined according to a double scale of relations: the programmatic and ecological one. The inner heart of the park, through the planting of 380 new trees will over the time create a new green core, that sourraunded by a performa- tive and rigenerative surface reacts and connects the urban context by different sports and relax activities.
The new park as an economic and cultural capital for this whole city will become a green infrastructure able to drive in the future development strategies of the entire northern area of Naples.
