Our proposal wants to highlight the value of the collective memory in the urban space as an extension of the individual life, as collector of single identity merged in the collective identity. Linking fragments in public living space.
The nature and the “live” landscape, shrubs and trees, do not enter in the urban channel in a decorative way, but also carrying this suggestion, it gives a geometry rule in the open space; the anthropized nature gives rhythm and dimension in this street like a dynamic isotropic container.
Inside this new space, the leading actor in the urban tale is the narrative of the people with their experiences, objects and contemporary way of life. To be in the landscape, To be the landscape.
The design proposal starts from the view of the landscape from above, the image of the topography of the land around Vladimir as a digital transcription of the images where every pixel brings out a piece of information and the soil is a collector of information not only of geographical issues. The texture becomes mineral, stone, material, a shape which stamps the surface, a urban tattoo.
Following the design shape of the hardscape as a kind of colonization of the natural landscape in the street channel, the greenscape is designed as a naturalization of the mineral floor.
The urban devices are placed along the walkway, giving to the space the value of a “living space” with different types of experiences, of involvement of the users as a unique space. There are different type of devices, but the final list is open.
