Bamboo Sports Hall for Panyaden International School

Panyaden International School is a green school in the north of Thailand. As the school is growing, it needed an indoor space for sports, performances and assembly. Chiangmai Life Architects used the lotus flour as design inspiration for a hall entirely built of bamboo. The structural core of this big hall are newly invented trusses calculated by engineers to withstand high speed winds, earthquakes and any other force that might apply. At the same time, the beauty of the material and design is drawing the students, teachers and parents into this special space
