Conversion of Office Building to Residence & Apartment
Three residence are designed based on different themes and spatial composition.
The aging tenant building built in the city area was converted into three rooms as the new guesthouse. All old offices were dismantled and the facilities were renovated.The two rooms are blocked by soundproof walls
In the first west room, the space is arranged while changing the width around the equipment core.
This migration property gives more sequence to the space of a limited size.
The room on the second east side is linearly continuous and the space is segmented by the core.
A wide corridor and counters are used as a gallery for this room.
The two rooms have an opening on the north side, and the view of the beautiful cherry blossoms spread from the living room.
The third room is the VIP room. Gold and silver foils are effectively used.
Several steps were made on the floor by moving equipment and renovating equipment. It is an accent which domains the large space of one-room.
Tatami and shoji are carefully set up, and the flat office space is transformed into fine foil space.
