Public School in Jardim Umuarama
The Public School in Jardim Umuarama occupies the main plateau of the site in a four floors volume, parallel to the existing blocks of the neighboring school.
The main access is located in the highest part of the site through a bridge that crosses a strinking slope. Due to this setting, a small street - previously defined by the boundary walls - had a substantial change in its configuration, becoming wider and allowing new visual relations with the city and, especially, providing the possible new routes to the neighborhood through the new brigde access to the school.
The traditional logic of an internal organization is reversed by locating the common use spaces on two upper floors and pedagogical and administrative sector on the two floors below. The last floor is a place capable of hosting events open to the community due to the arrangement of the shed and the court under a single roof.
