The project is in the integral rehabilitation of a detached house located in Madrid. The commission runs a young family with 3 small children so the reform has to respond to a family situation and practice for a life full of movement.
The project is in the integral rehabilitation of a detached house located in Madrid. The commission runs a young family with 3 small children so the reform has to respond to a family situation and practice for a life full of movement.
This house consists of a ground floor, where common uses, a first floor of bedrooms, and a small attic with an office. There is also a garden.
The main objective of the intervention is to generate functional spaces, simple and natural light. To achieve this, it is necessary to distribute the ordination and the ordering, in which each space is maximized, both in plant and in volume.
In this way, we generate a single space on the ground floor, with different hall environments, living rooms and dining room surrounding a key piece located in the center, serving these spaces. It is a bubble inside which is a cabinet for the hall, a cupboard for the dining room and a unique cellar. On this floor there is also a service door with access from the street, garage, service room, kitchen and laundry area.
On the first floor are the 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. The aim was to create spacious and bright rooms with plenty of storage space. In this plant, it is necessary to emphasize the 3 baths for the 3 children formed by capsules, continuous membranes inside and out. The constructive system and the material used in these baths allows the creation of a continuous surface, with the absence of joints and the curve that favors the formal-functional integration, generating an attractive, clean and fun and totally personalized bathroom space. Each child has a color that identifies and gives a special and different character.
The attic is separated from the rest of the house by means of a slat system that allows to vary the privacy of the plant in the last plant in the function of the needs and the possibility of the natural lighting of the distributor of the floor 1 like the hall of downstairs.
The garden for the metallic gardening continues that by means of the formation of triangulated flowerpots surrounds the house and in the back, the prairie in which is located children play house.
As singular elements, highlight the part of the cellar, the children's capsules baths, the garden caste and the furniture designed and manufactured a measure for this dwelling.
