WMF Cutlery
This unique cutlery set derives from the creative tension between the formal architectural research of the studio and its explorations into industrial design. Every piece has a unique expression, yet the set is conceived as a harmonious single entity – this is achieved by evoking a sense of continuity in the sculpted surfaces and fine detailing.
The use of accelerated curves, a technique more frequently employed in car design, gives the set a dynamic sense of motion – an effect complemented by the sleek, mirrored finish of the highly polished stainless steel. Giving careful consideration to the intimacy of the relationship between cutlery and user, the thickness of the material has been extruded and refined to ensure that every piece is ergonomically well balanced and pleasurable to use.
