REM’A are a small and young portuguese architecture studio. We strongly believe in the architectural value to the contemporary society, and in all the ways that it can changes it. Therefore we use to get projects that allows us to create within this philosophy. The symbioses between people, program/content and shape.
This small project we are presenting here began few months ago when two friends called us to create a little candy store, with a strong and fresh concept. We faced a re- stricted inside space with a great storefront . Therefore our fist intention was to provide the avenue with a new bright frame – due to the dual spacial condition. We intended that it should seem limitless, that we can be regarding it while we are crossing the street. This installation must reflect from the inside a new world, a fantasy world, that’s why we produced a illuminated module sequence framed with blades that simulate a cracked cave where this new world happens. Those blades make up the space both vertical and horizontally, with concavities and convexities that provide differents perspective sensa- tions, culminating with the front desk, integrating all space elements.
