Pallets and Containers Facilities & City Park
The City Hall of an small Castilian village wants to construct a warehouse and a kiosk in the city park, with some fitness equipment for seniors. Due to the limited budget we decided to recycle wooden pallets and 20 inches shipping containers.
The Shiping containers hold the program (store and kiosk), and pallets provide shade and prevent overheating, and integrate the containers in the park too. The containers are placed on either side of the main promenade on the garden, framing the main axis of the park. The project is modulated with 1 m wide bands that change dimensions in height and width, becoming pavement, parasols or banks, as needed. These bands are realized with wooden pallets.
The two entrances to the park, located in the two axes of it, are taken into account. The secondary access is remarked with a porch made with pallets, with the intention of directing the users of the fitness equipment toward the training area. The entry into the main axe is framed by a series of three porches that invite you to explore the central promenade and in give continuity to the bands with the porches-umbrellas made from the same material that protect the containers .
The pavement bands are made of pallets too, to provide continuity to the idea of bands, and head us towards the area of banks or to the training area. This type of flooring, allow people to travel without damaging the grass, protecting them of possible mud originated in rainy days.
PARQUE BIOSALUDABLE E INSTALACIONES MUNICIPALES CON PALETS Y CONTENEDORES
El Ayuntamiento de un pequeño pueblo castellano quiere realizar un almacén y un kiosko de bebidas en el parque municipal, y ubicar en el mismo una serie de aparatos biosaludables de ejercicios para personas mayores. Debido al escaso presupuesto se pretende reciclar palets de madera y contenedores marítimos de 20 pulgadas. Los contenedores albergan el programa (almacén y kiosko) y los palets, además de proporcionar sombra y evitar el Sobrecalentamiento, los integran en el parque.Los contenedores se ubican uno a cada lado del paseo principal, sobre la zona ajardinada, enmarcando el eje principal de parque. El proyecto se modula en bandas de 1 m de anchura, bandas que cambian de dimensiones tanto en altura como en anchura, convirtiéndose en pavimento, parasoles o bancos, según las necesidades. Estas bandas se materializan con palets de madera.
Se tienen en cuenta los dos accesos a la parcela, ubicados en los dos ejes del parque. Para el acceso situado en el eje secundario se plantea un pórtico realizado con palets americanos, con la intención de dirigir a los usuarios de los aparatos biosaludables a la zona de entrenamiento. La entrada en el eje principal, está enmarcada por una serie de tres pórticos, que invitan a recorrer el paseo central y que a su vez, dan continuidad a las franjas mediante los pórticos-parasoles hechos con el mismo material que envuelven a los contenedores marítimos. Las bandas de pavimento hechas también con estructuras de palets, además de aportar continuidad a la idea de bandas, nos dirigen hacia la zona de bancos o hacia la zona de entrenamiento. Este tipo de pavimento, además de direccionar al usuario, le permite transitar sin estropear el césped, protegiéndole del posible barro originado en los días de lluvia.
