Ceramic Brutalism
Study project for a spa center and premium luxury hotel in Ardabil (Iran).
The main layout follows the lines of Persepoli's base plan.
The center is composed by a hypogeum spa (hammam) and wellness zones with fitness area. At the ground floor take place the main hall, the rest-zone with bar and the restaurant. The suites are arranged over two floors dominanting the view.
The service staff area remains separate but in direct connection with the hall and the restaurant. The project includes large green rest spaces too.
The project area is 10.000sqm.
All the buildings are made by bricks (including slabs), with little amount of steel and no more than necessary concrete.

Il tracciato generatore richiama il tracciato planimetrico delle rovine di Persepoli.
Il complesso è composto da una zona termale (hammam), wellness e palestra interrate, una zona suites su due livelli che domina la vista sul lago, una zona ristorante-bar, hall e servizi.
Il corpo servizi risulta separato, ma direttamente connesso alla hall ed al ristorante.
Il tutto con una vasta superficie a verde.
Il lotto di impianto è di 10000mq, su base quadrata.
Il complesso è interamente costruito in laterizio, fatto salvo dei puntuali inserimenti in acciaio e calcestruzzo.
