Hypertube is part of the program for the improvement of Madrid’s landscape promoted by the city council, among other interventions. The project proposes alternative ideas towards the prevailing standardization of public space, willing to extend the range of elements that shape the image associated with urban furniture. Built out of six precast reinforced concrete tubes two meters in diameter and two and a half meters in length, Hypertube creates a new gathering space for the city.
