The project for P&M house is respectful of the original and simple structure of the Aeolian house and realizes a new general layout including an internal corridor to provide an independent entrance for each room. The kitchen, the living room and each bedroom maintain their favored relationship with exterior spaces by which you can see a different landscape on every side of the house(Lipari bay, San Bartolo al Monte church and the countryside). For this reason bathrooms are maintained on the back side but they are enlarged and the house is enriched with two service space.
The house is imagined as a place of meditation without telephone line, internet connection and television. A place distant from the chaos of the city in which the host can find themselves and the original simple way of life made of simple daily rituals.
