The project defines the insertion of “bivacco” in the extraordinary mountain landscape like a presence silent and eloquent at the same time.
“Bivacco” aims to be a machine to watch more than an object to look at.
he choice of a steel coating satin aims to transform its external image in a mirror that multiplies the presence of the surrounding peaks, while the interior space became a telescope through which wait sleep counting the stars.
Analysis and processing of the type of building led to the definition of an alternative model, based to an open space with many vertical levels.
This space is characterized by a succession of plans at different elevations for to direct and accelerate the look toward the top where there is a “trompe-l’oeil” created by the roof window.
Each of the three main floors of cubicles is broken down into three different levels to avoid the suffocating effect typical of layout in battery.
So, each cubicle had a different height from the floor.
The visual perception is central to the definition of the system, allowing to the people look to inside and outside at the same time.
