Linz Studio/Retrait
Recycling some wood from a dismounted pergola, I started to built and design a little retrait in a tree, which is located on the middle of Valdichiana valley and the hills surrounding.
I started to design it from a pure archetype volume, shaping it through the internal requirement of living and external particoular views all around.
The typical elements of the agricultural environment(the village on the hills or the ditches bordering fieldsand roads) are framed from the inside as they were part of a scene from a picture.
During the summer, the west facade is fully openable, afford a great view of the faced hills and ventilates the living area with breeze in the evening.
It was my first complete project experience, from design to realisation.
Without a power supply and relying only on the use of crude tools, I learned by making mistakes.
I believe there is no better way of learning than through experience.
