Passive house

The land is located in a small hilly town in Ardèche, France. The main intention is to merge the house in the titled landscape. The long structure inserts into the topography.
In the living spaces the views of the orchards and the Hills are unobstructed. The basement level is organized in order to limit excavation. At the ground floor there is the main living space, where there are the kitchen, the living room and the bedroom.The cantilevered space has two bedrooms and another bathroom and overhangs the Terrace. The structure is made of wood frame with a concrete base. The lights entries are facing the South in order to enjoy passive inputs. The thermal performance (wall, floor and triple glazing) coupled with double-flow ventilation and geothermal solutions are implemented to achieve the objectives of a passive construction.
Le terrain est situé dans une petite commune vallonnée en Ardèche. Le parti pris consiste à ancrer la future maison sur une parcelle à forte déclinaison.
La construction, toute en longueur, s’insère dans la topographie et oriente les pièces à vivre sur des vues dégagées sur les vergers et collines au Sud-ouest.
Le sous-sol est organisé en palier limitant les décaissements de terrain ; le niveau de vie principal en rez-de-chaussée est composé de la cuisine, du séjour et d’une partie nuit; un volume en porte-à-faux surplombe la terrasse du rez-de-chaussée et comprend deux chambres et une salle-de-bain supplémentaires.
La construction est réalisée en ossature bois sur socle en béton. Les ouvertures principales sont orientées vers le Sud pour profiter des apports passifs.
La performance thermique de l’enveloppe (mur, plancher et triple-vitrage) couplée à une ventilation double-flux et une géothermie sont les solutions mis en œuvre pour atteindre les objectifs d’une construction passive.
