The cycle track along the Alps-Carpathians Corridor proceeds on a historical migration route for wild animals from the eastern foothills of the Alps through Vienna up to the Carpathian foothills in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The new info and rest installations provide wind and weather protection, give access to information about the overall project supported by the EU, serve as a play equipment for children and invite to contemplate the surrounding landscapes. Configured as a turning ensemble, they allow both a private and a collective experience of the natural scenery. They are waiting to be discovered and set in motion.
The objects were designed by bauchplan ).( in collaboration with tourismusdesign, Halbartschlager garden and landscaping works, master carpenters Josef Dreisiebner and Denkraumweise, metalworker Draxler, the municipalities of Hohenau and Steinbrunn, and Weinviertel Management, the client of the project.
