“Sta(i)ring at” is a pun.
It is a multifunctional stair structure. In spring time you can climb up it, in order to look at the landscape around,
ideally being closer to the sun which is approaching us in turn to honour its promise and make us eventually feel warm.
During the winter you can go inside, so to find shelter from the freezing winds, take a sit on the chaise-longue and admire
the view outside. It is covered in reflective glass, providing it with a dynamic exterior, as the surface changes to reflect
its surroundings: it blends in with the sky, the water and the people walking around it. Hence, it is a non-intrusive installation,
a human creation integrated as harmoniously as possible in its natural context.
It is a springboard from where to try to reach the horizon: the Utopia, whose purpose is to make us move forward.
