POLISH PAVILION. EXPO BRUSSELS 1958. (Jezry Soltan, UNBUILT)
The proposed project based its strategy to convey the visitor information and environment more directly. It rationally used all space-time media and communication channels, simultaneously storming all the senses of visitors, they would enjoy the content of the pavilion under a huge perforated cover. It would be built without pillars, without walls, without woodwork nor vertical glazing.
The exhibits would act with the films while visitors cross the pavilion. Screens and projection devices would be placed below the cover.
RIVER GATE. CUBRYNA GARDEN 2015. (LCG arquitectura, PROPOSAL)
Ensuring proper linkages with Vistula river is the main intention. On the other hand, keeping the place's potential and its value must be compulsory.
A huge COR-TEN steel cover creates an open space pavilion which can work as an open museum with different activities.
Moreover, this is a place where you can sit down, read a book and rest under trees. This is a place without architectonic barriers which is open 24/7, using new technologies. The exhibition is completed with multimedia events, even with films and performances. Exploring, exhibiting and learning are the principal goals in order to generate an original experience.
The treasures can be seen without touching or approaching them directly, due to the sheet of water or their position floating over the ground.
Finally, a hanging balcony connects all the pavilion with the treasures and the river.
